Django à Gogo

Back by popular demand, this year marks the 3rd edition of Django à Gogo Los Angeles, a music event dedicated to the art of the greatest guitar master who ever lived: Django Reinhardt.

The stellar lineup, including the internationally acclaimed Stephane Wrembel Band join forces with top French talent and LA-based musicians in this unforgettable evening of music.

Leading the festivities is the acclaimed Stephane Wrembel Band, known for their spirited renditions of Gypsy jazz classics. Wrembel, a virtuoso on the guitar (composer for Woody Allen’s movies, such as Midnight in Paris and Vicky Cristina Barcelona) effortlessly channels the spirit of Django Reinhard.

All-Star Concerts are headlined by The Stephane Wrembel Band with different special guests including Simba Baumgartner, Adrien Marco, Hugo Guezbar and Eva Scow.

Buy $70 concerts passes.

Master Classes deliver a first-class music program providing musicians of all levels and instruments access to the greatest knowledge and teachers available. The program focuses mainly on the musical style of Django Reinhardt.

Jam sessions (free). No registration is required to participate, just bring your own instruments. Sessions take place in lounge or outside (weather dependent).

Ludmilla Dabo Brings Nina Simone’s Story to Life

Acclaimed French actress and singer Ludmilla Dabo, accompanied by director and playwright David Lescot on guitar gives an intimate one-women musical portrait of the iconic ‘High Priestess of Soul.” Dabo takes us on Nina Simone’s journey from young musical prodigy to her role as a major figure in the civil rights movement.

Using a mixture of spoken word, storytelling and jazz/soul, Ludmila Dabo delivers a powerful retelling of Nina Simone’s life, exploring the hardships she faced and the passion that drove her music and activism. From the brutality of her relationships to her pivotal role in the civil rights movement, the play dives into the personal and political struggles that shaped Simone’s legacy.

Through stories like her refusal to perform when her parents were told to give up their seats at her recital, Simone’s fight for justice shines. The play also delves into the meaning behind her iconic songs, from the searing ‘Mississippi Goddam’, written after a horrific act of racist violence, to the hopeful ‘Young, Gifted and Black,’ celebrating the potential of Black youth.

Dabo adds her own perspective, sharing experiences of racism and emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities for young Black people. The result is a moving and eye-opening journey through Simone’s life and her timeless message of equality and empowerment.

This production doesn’t just honor Nina Simone—it carries her spirit and her call for change to a new generation.

Turning Rejection into Resilience: A Hilarious and Inspiring Show

One of the best live events of the past 3 years! Loved it!
– Audience Quote

A cultural odyssey where the audience glimpses personal moments for historical figures
– Anchorage Press

Success doesn’t come easy, and this show proves it with a delightful twist on the bumps along the way. Watch as Stephen King gets his first rejection letter from Spacemen Magazine, Andy Warhol is told to pick up his returned painting, and Gertrude Stein faces her own signature critique.

The stories don’t stop there. A young Sidney Poitier hilariously asks President Franklin Roosevelt for a $100 loan—and gets turned down—while a bold 17-year-old college applicant flips the script and rejects her rejection letter from Duke University.

Through humor and heart, these tales of resilience and determination remind us all that rejection is just a step toward success. Prepare to laugh, feel inspired, and leave with a renewed sense of perseverance!

L’atelier d’art dramatique du Lycée Français de Los Angeles composé d'élèves de la troisième à la terminale est heureux de vous présenter son spectacle de fin d'année !

Le spectacle sera joué en français.

The Drama Workshop of the Lycée Français de Los Angeles, composed of students from 9th grade to 12th grade, is pleased to present its end-of-year performance!

The show will be performed in French.

Ze Generation!

Textes d’après E-Génér@tion, de Jean-Christophe Dollé

Adaptation et mise-en-scène: Nathalie Bryant

With: Bella Belizaire, Lily Constantin, Sacha Delouis, Ava Lalo, Mishka Lemoine, Joy Smet, Emma Stievet, Hélène Stievet, Romane Wache

They are part of Generation Z, or "Ze Generation!" The generation that has never known life without the internet, smartphones, and social media. Their memory is now measured in gigabytes, their smartphone an extension of both their body and mind. It is in this offbeat world, between the real and the virtual, that the characters navigate funny, sometimes absurd, but always endearing situations, inviting us to reflect on our own relationship with the world, others, and new technologies.
